The CTBT: Science and Technology 2017 Conference (SnT2017) will take place from 26 to 30 June 2017 at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. It will be the sixth in a series of multidisciplinary conferences designed to further enhance the strong relationship between the scientific and technological community and the CTBTO.
The conference series provides a forum for scientists from around the world to exchange knowledge and share advances in monitoring and verification technologies of relevance to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). Such interaction helps to ensure that the Treaty’s global verification regime remains at the forefront of scientific and technical innovation.
SnT2015 attracted more than a thousand registered participants and over 550 submitted abstracts. A comprehensive record of materials from past conferences in this series is available at ctbto.org under “Science and Technology Series”.
SnT2017 will be of interest to scientists and technologists including young scientists, science administrators, academics, representatives to the CTBTO’s policy-making organs, representatives of agencies involved in research and development in areas potentially relevant to the Treaty’s verification regime, and media representatives.
