Abstract:
The CTBT can make a major contribution to the achieving of the 9th of the SDG by bringing of groundbreaking technologies to developing countries. The paper reviews 5 proposals for CTBT that would pave the way for accomplishment of the 9th goal. All proposals were chosen after analysis of the CTBTO sphere of activities and review of global problems which are impeding the achievement of the 9th goal. The first two proposals related to IMS system and its capacity to build resilient infrastructure. Two next proposals are connected with the usage of CTBTO Data Centre. The fifth proposal bounded up with the global promotion of innovations among the youth. It is hoped ideas in this proposals may help the CTBTO contribute to fulfillment of the 9th goal of the SDG.
