Abstract:

This research performs an analysis of governance systems and public policies concerning the prohibition of nuclear tests. It discusses government policy on the negative effects of nuclear energy and nuclear explosions, which produce radioactive wastes which have irreversible consequences for the planet and their ecosystems. It also addresses uranium production, uranium enrichment, global governance and the absence of government policies, which present a challenge to the Comprehensive Test-Ban-Treaty Organization (CTBTO).
